Authorized Use & Ownership Verification

Who may use the service

• The registered owner or lawful purchaser of the vehicle.
• A lessee or lawful keeper authorized to arrange the work.
• A repairer, workshop or installer acting with the owner's documented permission.
• The lawful purchaser of a standalone head unit who can show its legitimate origin and intended use.

Risk-based verification

The current checkout collects technical identifiers and an email address; it does not claim that every order has already passed documentary ownership verification. We may pause any order and request evidence when the information is inconsistent, the request pattern is unusual, a payment is disputed, or authorization is otherwise unclear.

Depending on the case, reasonable evidence may include:

• Vehicle registration, title, lease document or purchase invoice showing the relevant VIN.
• A repair order or written customer authorization naming the workshop.
• A dated photograph of the head unit and its serial-number label.
• Proof of purchase for a standalone unit.
• Limited identity evidence where necessary to match the owner or payer.

Send evidence only through the support channel specified for the review. Redact unrelated information such as document numbers, financial details and addresses unless they are specifically necessary. Do not send a full identity document without being asked.

Requests we will not accept

• A vehicle or component reported or reasonably suspected to be stolen.
• A request made without the owner's permission.
• Altered, removed, inconsistent or deliberately concealed VIN/serial information.
• Bulk harvesting, unauthorized resale, fraud, impersonation or payment abuse.
• Any request intended to facilitate theft, unlawful access or bypass of a security control without authorization.
• Malware, abusive content or documents unrelated to verification.

We may decline, cancel or refund a request as appropriate, preserve transaction evidence needed for a dispute, and cooperate with a lawful request from a competent authority.

Technical limits

Proof of ownership does not establish that a code will solve the fault. Some component replacements require diagnostic pairing, coding or repair. If the display indicates a condition unrelated to a missing PIN, use a qualified technician or authorized dealership.

What verification does not establish

Acceptance or processing of a request is not a legal determination or certification of title. When a supplied result corresponds to an OEM record, the code itself may be original and unit-specific; that does not make AntiTheftCode.com an official manufacturer database, dealer or authorized representative.
