What the service does

Customers submit the technical identifiers needed for the selected service—normally a head-unit serial number for an anti-theft request, or a VIN, navigation-system type, region and map version for a MAP PIN request. Depending on the request and available records, the delivered result may be the original, unit-specific code associated with the unit’s OEM record. We review the submitted information; accepted results are normally sent electronically to the contact details provided with the order, while support may use the selected support channel.

A code is not the correct repair for every warning or fault. Wiring, CAN communication, component pairing, incorrect hardware, software or diagnostic faults may require a qualified repairer or an authorized dealership. The service does not replace vehicle diagnosis.
